Former Canadian Arenacross Champion Kyle Beaton and Leading Edge Kawasaki coming into Penticton with something to prov

We are pleased to confirm the return of the Former 2009/10 Canadian Arenacross Champion Kyle Beaton.

Kyle Beaton best season was as a privateer in the 2008 MX2 Canadian Outdoor series were he finished 2nd Place. That earned him a full factory ride with Blackfoot Yamaha for 2009. Unfortunately during the first race in that outdoor season he broke his wrist. Beaton continued to race the series but his injury kept him out of the top positions. Once healed that fall He won the 2009 Montreal Supercross and then followed that up by winning the 2009-2010 Canadian Arenacross title.

Kyle Beaton and Blackfoot Yamaha were ready to go for the MX2 Outdoor Championship when in the Practice session and the first round Beaton crashed and broke his thumb taking him out of the series. After the second outdoor season ruined by injuries, Beaton Lost his factory ride with Blackfoot Yamaha. Only days away from the 2010 Montreal Supercross, Leading Edge Kawasaki gave Kyle a second chance to prove he is a champion. Beaton finished a respectable 5th place in Montreal on the new Kawasaki.

That winter Kyle Beaton and Leading Edge Kawasaki went to compete on the largest stage of indoor motocross the AMA US lites Supercross in Anaheim California . Beaton qualified 9th and finished the Main event in 17th, his best US lites Supercross finish. Things were going as planned Beaton was going to race the West coast US Lites Supercross and stay in California training to come back to win the Canadian Outdoor MX2 class. Tragedy struck again, Beaton while practicing at Perris Raceway in California twisted his knee in a corner tearing his ACL ligament. Honourary Canadian Austin Politelli spending the winter in Oz at Berry Sweet Lucas Oil Honda for Super-X

American Austin Politelli completes international line-up at Berry Sweet Lucas Oil Honda for Super-X

Posted: Monday, 17th October, 2011 : 9:45 AM - - 1,215 Reads

Berry Sweet Lucas Oil Honda race team has confirmed young American star Austin Politelli will join the team for the 2011 Monster Energy SuperX series.

17 year-old Politelli, who has first place finishes to his name at both the Dortmund and Munich Supercross as well as a stunning second place at America's premier junior motocross event, Loretta Lynn's and a third in the Canadian National Motocross series, will line-up in the Lites class for the Berry Sweet Lucas Oil Honda race team on a CRF250R.

"We're obviously pretty excited to have a rider of Austin's speed on the team." said team principle Craig 'Ando' Anderson.

"At 17 years-old he's already achieved a lot and has a huge future ahead of him in racing. We're looking forward to him arriving and getting stuck into supercross and we'll be pushing for that number one plate."

Politelli will be a front runner no doubt and it's a great opportunity for Australians to see one of the most stylish young riders and a true star of the future in action.

Unfortunately the team's regular Lites rider, Kade Mosig, will miss the bulk of the SuperX season due to an injury. This is a blow given Mosig is coming off a stellar motocross season where he proved he was one of the fastest Lites riders in the country and a threat for the win on any track. The young Victorian is working hard to get back in shape though and you can expect to see him back in business in the final two rounds of SuperX.

Also joining the Berry Sweet Lucas Oil Honda race team in the Opens class will be three times British champion Gordon Crockard.

"I raced against Gordon three years ago and I can tell you he's one fast rider and will bring some fire to the Super X series," said Ando.

Crockard is one the most respected British riders with a third in the world championships just one of the many highlights in his career.

"This guy is world class and won't back it down anywhere," explained Anderson. Crockard will compete in the second, third and fourth rounds of SuperX.

Both signings show that team are on the move and has respect from both local and international riders alike. Having already carded some of the best results for a Honda team in 2011, get set for more and never count-out the number 100 when it comes to winning.

"I've developed our CRF450R into one of the best race bikes I've ever ridden and I can't wait to bring it to the startline. This Super X series will be a big one," Anderson concluded.

At The End Of The Rainbow:The 2011 Island Motocross season is in the books

The 2011 Island Motocross season is in the books. The season ended, appropriately, exactly as it started; with a double-header weekend in Campbell River. In some regards it was a great season, and in other regards it was more than just a little worrisome. At the highest level of the sport we enjoyed the return of the Nationals, the rise of SG Power’s Ryan Lalonde, and a relatively deep and competitive Intermediate class. We also had a decent sized, and highly competitive Junior class, an epic battle in the Age classes between Bryan Whitcomb and Paul Sprentz, and a couple of young guns shooting for the ‘Sheriff’ of the 85cc bikes, Joe Nikirk. All this aside, it is evident the island series has problems. As we sat around reminiscing about the season that was ending, a lot of stuff ‘came up’. Even I was spewing stuff!
