I'm going to make this quick as I'm just using a computer at the information centre for P.E.I. - I'm out East with my parents now and we decided to come see the island for a couple days before heading back to Ottawa for next weekend. I guess there's an awesome track over hear which I'm going to ride tomorrow too.

The largest Motocross event on the World Calendar returns to Great Britain in 2008. The 62nd annual Motocross of Nations will take place at Donington Park, September 27-28.
The Canadian Motorcycle Association had made a commitment to re-build with its youngest team in history. This has resulted in the naming of the following riders.
Riding the #28 Yamaha in MX1 will be Aldergrove B.C. native Colton Facciotti. The 20 year old, who rides for the Calgary based Toyota Yamaha Blackfootdirect.com team, was teh top Canadian in last years National Series and is currently second overall in MX1 in 2008.
The MX2 class will feature the #29 Suzuki of Tyler Medaglia. The 21 year old Medaglia, a resident of Ottawa, Ont. is the sensation of this years National Series and is currently leading the MX1 class. Medaglia rides for Vaughn, Ont. based OTSFF Motorsport.
Riding for Canada in MX3 will be the #30 Kawasaki of Dusty Klatt. The 23 year old from Campbell River B. C. was the #1 rider in Canada in 2006 and is just coming off a season of racing in the U.S. Klatt is currently 3rd in the MX1 class. He rides for U.S. based Cernics Kawasaki.

Just thought I would send out an update on how everything is going with me.
As some of you know, on May 11th at the Walton Provincial I went over the bars on the step down and crashed extremely hard. The result of this is 2 completely torn tendons (supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendons) in my left shoulder.
I went in for surgery on Friday June 13th to undergo reconstruction of the tendons. The surgery went well with no problems other then the doctor was unable to find all the material of the tendons in-order to stretch them back. Therefore I have to be super careful that I do not aggravate the
shoulder or the tendons could tear again and it won't be possible to repair them again. This whole healing process is going take for 8-12 months for everything to be completely healed. It will probably take a couple more months to get the strength back in my arm and shoulder.

Like most sports it’s the unpredictable that makes the story sometimes. The results for the top three riders in the MX1 class where perhaps not a surprise to many. Medaglia, Keast and Klatt! The first two have ridden this track more often than I’ve had hot dinners. Klatt can win a moto anytime he puts his mind to it. For those of you who where not at the race watch it on TV. Kyle trying to gun down Medaglia and getting so close is priceless. All fairly predictable, very exciting but predictable.
For Pico the before and after Gopher Dunes where totally unpredictable.

Kamloops, BC(June 2, 2008) Last weekend the Monster Energy/Thor/Leading Edge Kawasaki team made their way to the deep sands of the Gopher Dunes circuit in Courtland, Ontario for Round 2 of the CMRC Nationals looking to build on their successful 1-2 finish the previous weekend at Ste. Julie.
The always challenging sand certainly made things interesting for the team. After turning the fastest lap times during Saturday’s practice, Nick Evennou was looking to keep the team’s winning streak alive and despite hitting a downed rider on the first lap of the moto still managed to work his way back to third at the checkered flag. The podium finish meant that Evennou would inherit the points lead over his teammate, Teddy Maier who put on a valiant effort in the moto, working his way up to nineteenth after a first lap crash left him in last place. Maier turned the third fastest lap of the moto as he worked his way through the pack, securing 2 valuable points in the championship chase. The team’s third rider, Brock Hoyer, also had a crash to contend with and managed to charge all the way up to fourteenth at the finish.

Hey everyone sorry this update took a while to get up. This past weekend we raced in St Julie Quebec. It was the first round of the Monster Energy Canadian Nationals. I was super pumped that the season was finally upon us and couldn't wait to show everyone the hard work I put in during the off months.

Yamaha Motocross Team’s Joshua Coppins experienced a very unlucky race weekend at Round 11 of the MX1 World Championship held at Loket (CZ). He scored two DNF’s and sustained an injury to his left shoulder when he crashed in the second moto. Although first examinations did not reveal any fractures, a MRI scan yesterday discovered a small crack in the neck of his glenoid, a part of the shoulder blade.

Abbotsford News
Jul 28 2007
Taking a look at Shane Wiebe’s bedroom, it doesn’t take long to realize that the Abbotsford native is a pretty good motocross racer.
It’s also apparent that at the rate he wins races, his family might have to look for a bigger house in the not-so-distant future. There’s hardly an inch of real estate in the 16-year-old’s room that isn’t occupied by some manner of trophy. Plaques are mounted on the wall, balanced on the window sill and stacked in the closet. Medals hang from his mirror. There’s a giant trophy beside his bed.

Hey everyone, after two weekends off from racing I was back at it for the "Outlaw National" which is an AMA Pro/Am held at Motoland, Indiana. For those of you who don't know, Pro/Am's are selected races where "A" riders can race the Pro Lites and Pro MX classes to earn points towards getting their AMA Pro License to race the AMA Pro Nat'ls.
It was great experience for me and a good gage as to where I'm at in the "A" class as there were a lot of top riders there including TREY CANARD. The 40 minute Pro motos in the 100 degree weather was quite the test too..............

This past weekend, Sunday June 17th the Erie Ramblers Club in Wheatley
Ontario hosted the 4th round of the Ontario Provincials. Although this
track is one of the furthest away from me (4 hours) it was definitely worth
the trip. The weather was super hot on Sunday reaching 31 degrees Celsius. I
rode both classes again this weekend MX1, MX2. My results in the MX1 were
1st-1st for 1st overall and in the MX2 I finished 2nd-2nd for 2nd overall. I
am proud to say that I am currently sitting in first place in the points for
both Provincial classes overall.
