International: MOTOCROSS OF NATIONS
Pro Outdoor Motocross The Olympics of Motorcycling, the 62nd annual Motocross of Nations, takes place at Donington Park, Great Britain, September 27-28, 2008.

The Canadian Motorcycle Association has announced a Team made up of the young upcoming stars of Canadian Motocross.

Riding the #28 in the premiere MX1 class will be Aldergrove B.C. native Colton Facciotti. The 20 year old, who rides for the Calgary based Toyota Yamaha Blackfoot Fox Racing Team, is the current MX1 Canadian National Champion.

National: Dylan Langlois - on the road again
Pro Outdoor Motocross Well I finally had the weekend I had been aiming for last weekend in Nanaimo. I ended up only racing the 450 again, and I was glad I did. Below are my results...read on for the full story.

MX1 (17-17), 17th overall

It was a great week all around, from visiting my cousin in Victoria and swimming in the ocean, catching crabs, rope swinging, visiting some friends in Campbell River, seeing the massive 800 year old trees in Port Alburni, and going for some really nice runs thru trails around the island. The only downside of BC were the tracks! They're all SO HARD and rocky. That said, I did minimal riding last week but it was a nice break.

National: Nanaimo National - Kyle Keasts blog
Pro Outdoor Motocross I'm already here just outside Edmonton getting ready for this weeks National at Castrol Raceway. The Nanaimo National went alright but I'm disapointed with the second moto result. As you may already know the Wastelands is not a track I like but its the same for everyone. Let me start with the first moto where I got caught up in the first turn with riders going down. After getting through that I came around in 15th position at the end of the first lap and put my head down and started to charge and try to pick as many riders off as quickly as possible. By mid moto I had came through the pack up to around 7th spot i was then able to get past Gibson for 6th and then set about catching Nelson. I finally realed Nelson in and passed him for 5th three laps from the end and thats where I finished which I was pretty happy with after the start I got.

National: Dylan Langlois - on the road again
Pro Outdoor Motocross So in the end I decided to just ride the 450 this weekend in order to put all my energy into one class. I chose the 450 class since my 250f had been apart all week and I didn't get to practice on it. My results were:

(22-21)--> 23rd OVERALL

National: Dylan's Update #1 from out West
Pro Outdoor Motocross It's been a little while since I've sent an update because the first two rounds of the nationals out east did not go well for me at all. Nonetheless, last Friday morning at 3am myself, my buddy Chris Colenutt (MX2 Pro), and my girlfriend Lindsey rolled out for Round #3 of the Canadian Pro Nationals, in Morden Manitoba.

OVERALL RESULTS
MX2 - (25, 27) - 24th overall
MX1 - (23, 23) - 24th overall

International: Coppins secures second podium of the season
Pro Outdoor Motocross Yamaha Monster Motocross Team's Josh Coppins returned to the podium with second position overall at an overcast St Jean d'Angely for the Grand Prix of France and the seventh event of fifteen in the 2008 FIM MX1-GP World Championship. Team-mate and series leader on the works YZ450FM, David Philippaerts, had a tough and unlucky day in front of 30,000 spectators and did not finish the second race to place 18th overall.

National: Kyle Beaton does Gopher Dunes
Pro Outdoor Motocross Hey everyone. This past weekend was the second round of the Monster Energy Canadian Motocross nationals in Gopher Dunes. It was my first time to this track and wow was it a knarly one. I have never seen such a rough, whooped out bottomless track. The Shuster family did an awesome job of preparing the track and keeping it watered.

This weekend went a lot better for me than the previous one at St Julie. The day started off really well by having the fastest lap time in both practices. I felt strong and confident going into the first moto and knew that it was going to be a survival match out there. I got off to a horrible start; I think I was like 25. I then got taken out on the first lap and was pretty much dead last. I put my head down and charged hard and started picking guys off. Some corners and sections I was able to pass 2-3 riders at once. By the end of the moto I was able to catch up to finish 4th. It was a great ride but still not the result I wanted.

National: After Willard in 06, Tremblay in 07, KTM wins 08 Gopher Dunes MX2 National with Eric Nye! Jacqueline Ross dominates the ladies class!
Pro Outdoor Motocross CMRC National MX Series: Round 2, Gopher Dunes, ON, May 31 / June 1 , 2008.
Royal Distributing Thor Riverside KTM Canada riders had an amazing weekend in Gopher Dunes for Round 2 of CMRC MX National. To add to a reputation of being the toughest track in Canada, the rain poured down Saturday and left the deep sand track wet and heavy all day Sunday and it got harder to ride as each moto when on. Even with the difficult conditions of the track, the riders were in shape and ready to race. In MX2, Eric Nye took the lead easily in the first moto and he crossed the finish line with at least 20 seconds on the 2 position with his KTM 250 SX-F. Nye almost grabbed the second moto Holeshot but was passed by Kyle Beaton before the end of lap one. Nye didn’t like
the view from behind and took the lead back in lap 3 when Beaton crashed. He stayed in front with almost a 30 second lead. With his top position, Nye takes the lead in the Series Championship with a 20 points advantage. It’s the 3rd year in a row that KTM Canada has won the MX2 class in Gopher Dunes.

National: The Chamberlain Report
Pro Outdoor Motocross Well it’s been a while since the Montreal Supercross and Oh, so much has happened since then!

In a sentence, or two: Pico returned to his old stomping ground at dds to work as a machine assembler and then took a very timely trip to Bermuda for Christmas and New Years to enjoy probably the best MX scene in the northern hemisphere, fabulous hospitality with fun racing and great beaches. All arranged by Tim Marks of Titan Engines. Another trip down south, to SC this time and a few weeks with the wonderful Speiss family (and dogs) to get in some early spring riding. If you are contemplating an early MX riding trip next year or this fall try www.101mx.com and www.Revolutionmxpark.com in SC/NC. You won’t be disappointed. Next stop Toronto Supercross – again thanks to Tim and Borhog Powersports for putting together a very competitive bike.

National: Clean Sweep for Facciotti in MX1 Season Opener – Maier Scoops MX2 Win
Pro Outdoor Motocross Team Toyota/Yamaha/Blackfoot/Fox Racing’s Colton Facciotti won the opening round of the Monster Energy Motocross Nationals in Ste. Julie, QC on Sunday with a clean sweep of the premier MX1 class. Factory Suzuki/Rockstar Energy/OTSFF’s Tyler Medaglia rode to an impressive 3-2 moto finish to grab 2nd overall while factory KTM’s Jeff Northrop booked 4-3 motos to claim the final podium slot.

International: Philippaerts third after impressive Italian GP charge
Pro Outdoor Motocross Yamaha Monster Motocross Team's David Philippaerts was not able to win his home Grand Prix at a wet Mantova circuit but certainly captured the admiration and attention of the 29,000 spectators with a captivating flight from last position to fifth spot in the first moto. The performance on his YZ450FM was backed-up by a strong second place in the following race to allow the series leader to tread the third step of the podium and increase his advantage in the standings even further. Josh Coppins was content with sixth position overall.

International: LEOK CHARGES TO 8th IN ITALIAN GP
Pro Outdoor Motocross The burly man looked tough a nails, built like the proverbial brick outhouse and strong enough to fell large trees with his bare hands. Yet as he stood next to the fence, he was a bundle of nerves, and whatever he was watching was making him nervous and meek as a mouse. A quick glance at the flag protruding from his back pocket provided a clue. The Black, White and Blue revealed him to be an Estonian, one of the diehard fans that travel the world's motocross tracks to follow their heroes. His nervous disposition arose form the fact that Tanel Leok, the Estonian Express, was involved in a fierce on-track battle with world champion Steve Ramon.

National: Canadian Motocross Radio returns for a 3rd season!
Pro Outdoor Motocross (Toronto, ON) – BlackfootDirect.com’s Canadian Motocross Radio (CMR) is proud to announce their live broadcast schedule for the 2008 Monster Energy Motocross season (check www.canadianmxradio.com). CMR will be going live 10 times this summer, with their first live broadcast coming Monday, May 19th at 9:00 p.m. EDT. “Canadian Motocross Radio is moving forward into its third year of production and to be honest, we can’t wait to get things going.” says Marc Travers, host and producer of CMR. Travers goes on to say, “For CMR and most Canadian Motocross fans, our first show, which comes a week before the first national, truly is the kick off to the Monster Energy Motocross Nationals.”

U.S.A.: SPEED Channel to be Exclusive Network for 2008 AMA Toyota Motocross Championship
Pro Outdoor Motocross With a great team of hosts and a solid fan base, the SPEED Channel returns in 2008 as the official network of the AMA Toyota Motocross Championship presented by FMF. This season, SPEED will televise one hour broadcasts of the premier AMA Motocross class for each of the 12 rounds of the summer schedule, beginning with the 13th Annual Giant RV AMA Motocross National presented by Yamaha from Glen Helen Raceway Park, the opening round of the 2008 campaign.

International: LEOK MARKS RETURN TO COMPETITION WITH RACE PODIUM IN BELGIUM
Pro Outdoor Motocross The weeks leading up the the first GP of the 2008 motocross world championship season have been agonizingly frustrating for Tanel Leok. The Estonian Express was on a mental high coming into the season, and his speed was right where it left off at the end of 2007, which means blazingly fast. A thundering crash at the international event in Valence left him with a shoulder injury, sidelining him for more than a month. Tanel then had to play the fine balancing act known to sportsmen (and particularly so motorcycle racers) the world over. On the one hand the injury has to heal and loading the shoulder too early could aggravate the situation, on the other hand he has to achieve race fitness before the first world championship event.
